Question about micro SD cards for HPs. Is a higher class of card better for the phone

I'm sure for those of you whom buy micro sd cards for your phones or cameras etc know of the different classes which is the difference in speed transfer. Class 10 is the fastest speed and class 4 or 2 is the slowest. I just bought a 32GB class 10 micro sd card for my galaxy note and it's more pricey than a class 4 card and i read on some sites that class 4 is perfect for phones and even better than class 10.
