Yes! Special Edition COMPETITION MODEL T-72B3 built only for competition purpose with no other significant meanings otherwise, Putin swapped the normal T-72B3 diesel piston engine with extremely powerful gas turbine engine! Just to win by speed. But this model cannot be really for war and combat use because of range and other practical functions.

Gas turbine engines' power to weight ratio is very much higher than diesel engines. Very responsive to maneuverability control hence excellent for competition speed around obstacle circuits. Hence you can rapidly accelerate and decelerate it as you wish press gas to fly instantly and let go the gas to pull back the speed instantly like a Ferrari. Ferrari uses petrol engine which is still not even as good and high performance as gas turbine. If you swapped Ferrari's petrol engine to gas turbine it will perform even better.

Putin's competition (special edition) T-72B3 is the ONLY Team using Gas Turbine Engine in the competition, all other teams got diesel engines!

The sounds these engines will make is alike jet aircraft engine sound, not the industrial machinery (truck / lorry e.g.) engine sound.

A Russian T-72B3 main battle tank reached a speed of 84 kph (52.1 mph) during a tank biathlon event outside the capital. It’s an all-time record for the competition – and an impressive feat for a 64-ton armored behemoth.
The record speed was achieved in the m&d of a rain-soaked tank range, rather than on an asphalt-coated race circuit. For comparison, the maximum speed of the US main battle tank, the M1 Abrams, stands at 72.4 kph (45 mph) on roads, though even faster machines exist – including Russia's next gen MBT Armata.

Team Russia's speed earned them the top trophy at the tank biathlon event at the Alabino range near Moscow, which concluded the two-week-long international Army Games 2019 on Saturday. Belarus came second, and Kazakh tankmen filled out the podium.
Tank biathlon is inspired by the winter sports of biathlon, which combines cross-country skiing and rifle shooting. Just like Olympic athletes, the participating tank crews are also required to show both speed and dexterity at hitting targets.
The T-72 tank has been around since the Soviet era, with its T-72B3 modification introduced in 2011 as a cheaper alternative to the more modern T-90A tank. The vehicle the Russians used in the race is equipped with a 1,130-horsepower engine – comparable to a Formula 1 car – and has automatic transmission.

Gas turbines normally used in places where its designed for its optimum constsnt speed like in power plants and airplanes.
Not sure if its suitable for variable speed usage.

You forgot all about fighter jets? Maneuver variable speed like no body's business!

There is also WARSHIPS which BOTH use gas turbines alone or in combination with Diesel or Stream just to add IMPULSE Tactical MANEUVER Powers. That is when it suddenly need to increase speed and change cause either to fire missile or dodge torpedoes or to block or cut path of other ships or to ramp other warships in e.g. SCS dispute interception operations.
