Many WP voters are apprehensive about WP future.
They are concerned that GE 2020 aftermath, WP would be joining the rank of other opposition parties and would never ever make a comeback no more ! In other words, WP would have no chance to enter parliament. So what can WP do now ?

These are their stories……

WP was cruelly smeared by PAP during the GE 2015. WP was partially to be blamed for this attack for they knew that PAP is always on the lookout for vital mistakes made by oppo parties and then launch a brutal attack to gain the unfair advantage.
Ground sentiment is right that WP actually took the toll and not only losing PE but also lost vote percentage and won Aljunied by a nose. Indeed, a very cruel lesson to learn . WP must really start doing its homework well.

People now egg WP on to take priority to look after their wards and the residents at their level best for the next 5 years or so over debating irrelevant issues, ex—hike in GST and Minister pay .
Two issues surface largely among the WP supporters ---

First, the claim by Charles Chong about the one million dollars surplus in PETC or Pasir-Ris GRC accounts. WP now has the advantage over this matter because it is the PAP people who were giving the unproven and incorrect figures . And yet, WP has the PAP signed copy of the PETC accounts . There is no way PAP can change or correct this accounts. Unproven statements can interpret as slandering or defaming . So WP supporters hope WP carries out what is necessary to act for the PE voters . WP cannot let Charles Chong get away easily. People say if WP tries to be friendly and forgiving on this matter, the reputation of WP will never be recovered.

Sinkaporean voters are of low-EQ , they are unforgiving lot , if they lose trust in you , they will reject you as long as they are alive.
This is a very sick nation under the PAP for 50 years, majority of them are not intelligent and savvy, they are too waxy and they see small picture---say one thing do another !
So WP, you have this one chance to fight back righteously even if you need to go to court, please proceed to catch the reluctant PAP mass media attention. You need an apology from these PAP skunks for PETC accounts because they used unproven figures to cheat votes during GE 2015 to win PE.

Second, this is the most important thing to talk about. The new citizens’ votes. These naturalized sinkaporeans are also silent killers. PAP wins the Government, they can bring in these foreigners to be citizens and vote for them. So you see, PAP will always stay in power because these voters vote out of gratitude and not for the country . This dirty- underhand method to win votes will eventually destroy sinkapore if go unbridled . local voters who voted for PAP are not apprehensive of the dangers lie ahead.

So WP can bring this matter to the parliament and debate diplomatically. This is a very sensitive issue, however it must be broached if we want to save sinakpore .

WP can suggest that WP welcomes talents and new citizens, but new citizens for the good of country and people, these new citizens must be given 5 to 8 years to be citizens before they can vote.

PAP would argue that they are PRs for many years but we must know that local voters must wait for 21 years before they can vote not to mention our NS boys carrying rifles risking their life cannot even vote.

If WP don’t debate this new citizens' votes issue tooth and nail, and by 2020, WP will be no more!

In parliament, WP has to play a different role then on, asking questions and arguing silly subjects in parliament cannot be your pattern no more. You must suggest ideas and opinions for the good of the people, nevermind they are not accepted, you motive is to win confidence and trust. This is the chief motivation for your survival.

Sad to say that sinkaporeans don't understand that without WP in parliament , they would be eating off their bones under the PAP primates.
they forget how pioneer generation package and GST vouchers, etc, etc .........come along their way. Perhaps they never will .....

WE hope WP listen to the ground, your supporters are concerned .

WP should use their resources in serving Hougang and Aljunied people to regain the lost votes and also resolve the town council issues as to regain confidence of the general public.

There is no point talking about those young punks and naturalized sinkies not supporting them at the polls.

It is very important to secure the precious 6 elected seats in the Parliament first then thinking of winning other constituencies and it will be more than five long years to GE2021 so temporary forget about wasting times and efforts walking the ground in Fengshan, East Coast and Marine Parade.

Use your resources to make life better for Hougang people and more importantly Aljunied people and examine the living challenges that people are facing within in the next 5 years. These will definitely be a better preparation for the next GE :p

GE 2015 , PAP bamboozled the PETC accounts was in fact was a slander at WP . This issue cannot be taken lightly as PE voters must know what is happening.

It is also deadly true that New citizens votes are opposition killer voters .

WP will lose all seats by 2020 if it still works the same way.

People are hoping LHL dies early sooner but this hope will not fall through.

WP really must reform itself at the parliament---not aggressive but friendly and sting like bees

1. In 2011, wanting a 1st World Parl..........did they? Too busy running TC.
2. Aphtec scandal- scandalising TC(govt $$).
If I am contractor for CSM(law firm) and approve payment and pay myself;

Don't think AHPETC issue played any part in WP performance as the swing impacted on all oppositions. If tc issue was the root cause for the swing and spillover to other opposition as GMS had suggested, then it would be more profound on WP than other oppositions. But the opposite had happened instead.

That being said, I think WP should sue Charles Chong for maliciously misrepresenting figure to cast doubt on WP.

i support having a better life but the money has to come from somewhere. if we have money but we do not spend it then its our fault but is it true that we have money? all the welfare that we have are achieved through raising money one way or the other, in another words, the people is paying for it, not because the government can afford it but are not spending money but the sentiment is as thought WP has created money out of thin air and make our lives better.

if anyone support WP because of welfare then we are really doomed. don't get me wrong, i like welfare like anyone else but we need to be able to survive and grow instead of welfare. we will still be third world country if we have welfare and will not be able to afford welfare as time goes by if we remained a third world country because everything in the world gets more and more expensive while our money lose more and more of its value.

we are not having the same welfare as other first world country because we are not at that state yet. we need to grow our economy to reach that state, just like we had grown our economy to reach our current state. since growing our economy lets us reach our current state, how can we expect to reach the next state if we stop growing our economy?

this is the classic case of whether you want slaughter the chicken to feast and stave later or keep the chicken alive and eat the eggs and grow your chicken for more eggs.
