Dear Jobseekers,

In September 2013, Innogene Kalbiotech Pte Ltd posted a recruitment advertisement for a Finance and Accounts Officer, on our own website as well as on the jobsDB site. The advertisement included the words “Ages approximately max. 26 years”, which Innogene Kalbiotech Pte Ltd recognizes as discriminatory, per the Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practices.

This wording was deleted from both websites shortly after the error was brought to our attention.

We have already taken steps to educate all Innogene Kalbiotech staff and officers, as well as colleagues from our parent company who create and post such advertisements, to ensure they are fully aware of the Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practices, and to prevent such unintended errors in future.

Innogene Kalbiotech Pte Ltd hereby reaffirms our commitment to the Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practices.

We apologise sincerely for the offence this advertisement may have caused to anyone.

They can just pretend to interview everyone but in the end hire only male applicants, single, below 26yo, Indian and without NS liability. If MOM query, just say all other applicants lack experience or ask for too high pay. What can MOM do? Go and check one by one the actual qualifications of the applicants? Go through video recording of the interviews? No right?????

nothing to stop them from not hiring above 26. discrimination is already in their hearts and minds. why 26 though? anyone?
