Piggy PAP-puppet Ee tried to dodge questions on why fare hike is not reasonable. He even aggressively supported huge payouts to the shareholders and that other revenue earned from operator should not be used to fund the commuter since is a "private shareholder company". As such, one of the audience bombarded him that because of such mentality, public transport should be natioanlised instead of shareholder-centric. Gerald Ee was tongue-tightened and quickly shift topic. Even Malisa Hiak was not convinced of what Gerald Ee was trying to put across throught the half hour.

Now it worries Singapaoreans that Minister salary review spearheaded by the Gerald Ee could be another Wayang. Look at his performance at Insight debate and you get the drift. I suspect he has more to gain to side the operators and PAP than with the people.

If the PAP makes the cost of car ownership so high, they should transfer those earnings from COE, ERP to public transit and provide subsidised transit to Singaporeans.

Has the PTC ever turned down a request for a fare hike

In Spore the only way to stop the incessant price hikes is to get rid of the source, the PAP. When the 60% failed to do this we all knew what to expect. As they say a leopard never changes it's spots.

I watched the programme on CNA earlier out of boredom at home..

This scum Gerard Ee has once again proved himself to be a loyal PAP dog to the core.. His answers to the questions posed to him sounds stupid, and he was obviously defending the cartels controlling our public transports.

Like it or not, we'll see the dreaded fare hikes in the coming future..

This fat bastard Gerard Ee is of no use to Sporeans and he is only useful to his PAP masters...

He's only on the PTC to enriched the scums in White..

In regards to the Ministers salary review, this fat fuck Gerard Ee will wayang his way duping the 60% naive stupid Sporeans..

Fuck you Gerard Ee.. you are just a fuckin fat bastard faggot loyal PAP dog and tonite you had once again proved to be one..

The audience ask some really good questions and his answers were not convincing at all.
Also they bring on this Micheal Li form China or Hongkong ? His accent was so horrible half the time I could not make out what he is talking about...

That the ideal scenario. But these PAP bastard won't budge
the money earn from the levy should be use to subsidize the cpf of local singaporean. It I'd justa matter of political will.

we have given all the ideas and solution, but their mentality is to earn maximum profit and squeeze average Singaporean to death.

I have another suggestion. Why not allow private operators (think travel agencies, school buses, etc) to form an alternative bus company? I am sure they could keep the cost low. I remember taking such buses when I am young. These private buses plough the same route as the SBS buses and have the same number so commuters will not be confused.

Have anyone thought of BOT projects for our Transportation?

BOT = BUILD OPERATE TRANSFER financing schemes, which gives power to the private organisation to build public services infrastructures...

Just moved in to my new flat in Hougang.. Had a chat with my new neighbour, this old man in his early 70s.. At his age, he is still working as a coffeshop cleaner in Tampines. Told me his daily bus fares amounting to nearly $5 every day. Worked 6 days a week. And the bus fares alone had gobbled up a big chunk out of his $650 monthly pay..

They are buying China-made buses now to reduce capital costs and increasing the fares. Next newly built MRT will also probably be China-made too. Our safety and comfort will be compromised to these greedy duo-poly monsters.

He should just go and eat his wanton mee.

Rest assured PTC Gerald Ee will not approve because it eats into government transport profit. Now you see the contradiction of Gerald in PTC? Singapore has no competition and everywhere we see govt monopolising out life and they called it PRIVATE-OWNED.

Agree.

but got moni 2 go ... chivas atau heineken, hotel 81, lido palace, over-c holiday evry mth, turf club ...

He is not paid a cent for these "public service" work but his accounting company gets lots of business as a compensation from PAP and crony company.

Truly, after reading all these news about unfair increase in transportation fare prices, HDB housing prices, basic necessities prices like utilities, everything is increasing in prices, except for the salary package of the peon, serf Singaporeans.

However, all the CEOs, all the Ministers, all the top guns in quasi government organisations, and temasek holdings, GIC, etc... blah blah blah, plus the lee dynasty family... everyone is getting richer by the day... don't you all 60% see this problem right in your fucking faces?

So, what can the serf Singaporeans do?

VOTE OUT THE INCUMBENT!!!

we had our chances a few months ago, and stupid dumb fucks 60% electorate are all fucking blind... now making the 40% suffer...

if you are one of the 60% dumb fucks, suffer these next 5 years, and reflect on your dumb fuck choices...

a VOTE is precious, it can mean suffer or progress as a nation or as an individual... I fear that with the speedy importation of FTs from all over the world, the electorate base will surely be diluted by then...

Singapore is our home, and it is not only for the Government Officials, as truly, it is the people, the electorates that voted the Political Party to serve the people, but not get fucked real hard by them...

Everyone of you should watch V for Vendetta, and get an idea of what the movie is truly about.

If you are reading this, and not convinced of my statements, please go and do some fact finding, and comparison all over the world...

Being angry with the Political Party, the Defacto Government doesn't mean anarchy or revolting... it is just a message to tell them that the serf and peon Singaporeans have had enough... and we want to progress, we want to be wealthy together as a nation, but not be left behind... truly, more and more people are left behind... and only the elites, the wealthy, the ones on top, the majority is suffering... WTF!
