The kid's only 12 years old, don't worry too much. It's not about being irresponsible. What can parents do anyway if the kid doesn't want to study hard? It's too a young age to get cut up about anything in life really.

Grades are nothing but numbers & figures. What matters most is how the brains function in reality. Academic Aces don't necessary mean they Ace in the real world. 1 classic example, the ERP has not been justified, neither has it solved the traffic problems.

LOL. I think the kids these days should be given a break. They are too stressed out from a young age to develop proper values. Screw that piece of paper. The right values matter the most.
