TAIPEI, Taiwan -- A woman known for her speculative property transactions was repatriated from Thailand yesterday to face trial in connection with a fraud case.
Lin Fu-hui was taken to the Taipei District Court right after returning under the escort of Bureau of Investigation agents.
Lin had been wanted since July 18 after she fled first to China and then to Thailand to avoid standing trial in Taiwan, officials said.
She has been indicted on document forgery and other charges in connection with a fight for control over the CitiAir Bus company.
Lin was known to the public mostly for her transactions of luxury residential units in The Palace in Taipei.
