It appears that the co-founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of PropertyLimBrothers (PLB) Melvin Lim, as well as Grayce Tan, PLB's vice president for strategy and an influencer (also known as @babygrayce on Instagram), have been removed from the company's leadership page on the website.
This comes amidst online
speculation that Lim and Tan were involved in an extramarital affair.
Videos purportedly showing the pair exiting an office room together were widely circulated on Reddit.
Tan, who joined PLB in 2022, is a Singapore content creator with a following of about 191,000 on Instagram.
Both Tan and Lim are married (not to each other), and Lim has four children.
Videos circulating online
In videos provided to
Mothership by a reader, sounds resembling moans were heard from behind a closed door along the corridor of an office building, leading some to speculate that the individuals inside were engaged in intimate behaviour.
In a separate clip, Lim and Tan were seen leaving the office, with Lim appearing to lock the door behind him.
According to the
Mothership reader, the videos were recorded during the week of Jan. 19.
Both Tan and Lim have since made their Instagram accounts private.
Their individual profile pages on the PLB website, as well as Tan's LinkedIn account, have also been taken down.
PLB has also limited the comments section on its Instagram account.
Both Lim and Tan allegedly stepping down
Screenshots of a text message allegedly sent by Lim to the company have also been circulated online.
In the purported message, Lim admitted he had made a "personal mistake", and apologised for "cross[ing] boundaries", saying he would be taking time over the next few months to focus on his family.
"I've addressed this responsibly with my family and am taking time now for the next few months to focus on restoring and protecting my family.
This is something I need to do properly."
The message also stated that he and Tan would be stepping down from their current leadership roles to allow the company to operate "steadily and without distraction".
"This situation is mine to own, and I ask for your understanding that no speculation, or pressure be placed on any parties in any way.
I also ask for your help that the team respects the privacy of both our families during this period."
Mothership has reached out to Tan, Lim, PLB as well as KW Singapore, the real estate franchise founded by Lim, for comment.
