'Hurricane' Higgins dies
Despite being warned many times to cut his drinking and smoking to save his health, Higgins couldn't quit. -- ST FILE PHOTO

LONDON - ALEX 'Hurricane' Higgins, the former double world snooker champion, died on Saturday at the age of 61 after a long battle with throat cancer.

The flamboyant Belfast-born snooker legend, who won the world title in 1972 and 1982, was first diagnosed with cancer more than 10 years ago. Despite being warned many times to cut his drinking and smoking to save his health, Higgins couldn't quit. He had cancerous growths removed from his mouth in 1994 and 1996 and was told in 1998 that he had throat cancer. Snooker promoter Barry Hearn said Higgins would be remembered as the 'original people's champion' and the man who transformed the popularity of the sport.

Pasha Khan will teach you how to quit. The first thing you do after waking up, slap yourself in the face for twenty times and chant "I shall not smoke today"!!:D

Yah, Rakuten is a legit and reliable store. It is one of the biggest online store in Japan. Ok to buy from them. You can buy various Japanese merchandise from them. But cannot buy prohibited items, they won't ship, even if they do, SG customs confisticate.

Man you got issues with smokers and Christians?

I wonder what you will do to Christians who smokes?

I don't have issues with most Christians. Unfortunately you represent the minority of ugly Christians that tar the good name of the religion.

I don't have issues with smokers who are not my friends. I don't care enough to have issues with them.

The worse drug of them all: credit.

Your daily dose of credit, served by your friendly bank consultant. :D

People who smoke are dependant wimps n sissys.

They have inferiority complexes and need something to feel good about themselves. I know coz I smoked 17 yrs before quitting 5 years back, cold turkey.

I think once you've reached the stage of mature, independant thinking, you will quit without effort. It's not hard. Just take it one day at a time.

I can guarantee you something, you will not regret quitting.

Be a real man.
