yeah, i remember an old picture of lky campaigning in the 50s. it was in a merc. a local driving merc in the 1950s? only damn kaya then can have that kind of symbol.

In the 50s, you need a Merc to gain respect. Better still when your parents advertise in the local paper your university Graduation.

Many in the PAP came from humble beginnings and worked their way to the top through sheer hard work and perseverance. Our future PM is a perfect example of how someone from a broken family can make good.

This is the reason why I admire the Singapore system so much. There is no glass ceiling. Everyone starts off with the same hand and the sky is the limit.
