so u live behind Lim big head (sorry dunno the actually spelling) market? kovan gals school? i only know SJ convent once there. Guang Yang sec school was once there plus St Gabriel on the main road. Then there the big temple festival on the Ninth Month of the lunar calender over there. of course cannot miss out the cinema there, i still remember i ever watch the movie Jaws over there as a young boy. Inside the cinema compound got sell street food, a good place for couples to go parktor.

the cinema that u mentioned is Kok wah, it was located where the Highlands Centre building is now; famous durain stall is there.
There was a smaller cinema nearer to the temple called "Mercury" which shut down earlier than kok wah.
Have u ever visit the crocodile farm opposite the temple?

There another cinema at the old tampines road just off the sixth mile point near wingtai garment. in the past, there so many good food along upper serangoon road but now the f&b establishments along the road only half past 6 standard.
