An adjunct professor is a part-time professor who is hired on a contractual basis rather than being given tenure and a permanent position. Just like regular faculty members, adjunct professors must fulfill basic educational requirements before they can teach, and many of them are very well-educated, talented people. If the choice is between hiring adjunct professors and closing a program, many schools consider it better to hire adjunct professors.

Even if he twiddles his thumbs, middle fingers and 20 toes everyday, he is still paid a life-time PENSION, that most here will never make or even come close... paid for by taxpayers, ie you and me!

Be happy as well as wary that he is kindly "contributing" his experiences to the next generation of Singaporeans who will form the next group of opinion-leaders in Singapore - maybe the aim is to change the next generation's opinion of him and to make a political comeback in 10years time! ...
