[h=1]Prime Minister’s AMK GRC Team in political turmoil[/h]admin / 2 hours ago July 26, 2015

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s Ang Mo Kio (AMK) GRC is facing an exodus of three existing AMK MPs to make way for three new favourites of the PM. According to the government-controlled media The Straits Times today, two veteran MPs, namely Seng Han Thong and Yeo Guat Kwang, respective in-charge of Yio Chu Kang and AMK-Hougang, may retire although they declined to comment when interviewed. A third veteran MP, Inderjit Singh, tendered his resignation over social media Facebook two days before (July 24) instead of using the ruling party’s proper channel for public announcement. A fourth MP speculated to be removed is Intan Azura Mokhtar, who was flaked for supporting her grassroot leader PRC YangYin who is currently under police investigation for cheating a old lady multi-millionaire.

With these four poised to be missing in the coming General Election, the government-controlled media The Straits Times then introduced two potential newbie candidates for AMK GRC and dedicated an introductory article for them and other amateur PAP new faces.

The first is self-proclaimed “Son of Punggol” 43-year-old Dr Koh Poon Poh, the loser of Punggol East SMC in 2013. He lost largely because of his out-of-touch comments during his election campaigning, saying every Singaporean today owns a car and over-exaggerated how “poor” he was when he couldn’t even afford to buy a pair of chopsticks when he just bought his first three-room HDB flat at 26 years old. Dr Koh Poon Poh is poised to replace Seng Han Thong.

The second potential candidate is 44-year-old Darryl David, a former Mediacorp gameshow host and currently a Deputy Director for Temasek Polytechnic. He has never done a single walkabout before and is a freshman in AMK GRC. Although he is poised to replace Inderjit Singh as part of the minority candidate requirement, he has never stepped foot in AMK’s Kebun Bahru before.

Over at Sembawang GRC, a new potential candidate spotted is 36-year-old Amrin Amin, a corporate lawyer who is poised to replace Intan Azura Mokhtar. Like Darryl David, Amrin Amin is an amateur politician who has never stepped foot in Ang Mo Kio GRC to campaign. Today is his first appearance.

The other Sembawang GRC potential candidate is 45-year-old Ong Ye Kun, the loser candidate for Aljunied GRC in 2011. He is relatively unknown and have been silent since his loss in 2011 until recently.

Over at Tanjong Pagar GRC, with the death of former Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, the team introduced a new face never been seen before: 47 year old Joan Pereira, an executive of Temasek Holding’s philanthropy arm Temasek Cares. Joan Pereira joined the PAP only in May, and is still learning the ropes as an understudy of another PAP MP, Indranee Rajah. However, the leader of Tanjong Pagar GRC is not Indranee Rajah who is a Senior Minister, but newbie Minister-without-portfolio Chan Chun Sing.

Then at Tampines GRC, another loser candidate of Hougang SMC by-elections in 2012, Desmond Choo has been parachuted into the GRC, rumored to replace MP Irene Ng.

Another Tampines GRC potential candidate poised to replace former Minsiter Mah Bow Tan in Tampines East is Cheng Li Hui, the vice-chariman of the Citizen Consultative Committee of Tampines East. Cheng Li Hui is relatively unknown and has only recently started introducing herself to Tampines residents.

Inderjit had a 40 pointer post pointing out the weak points of PAP, ending with he believes they are able to improve on it. When stuff he conceded that the PAP is in their ivory tower and disconnected with the general populace. I suspect he is on their shitlist alr.

this is the man who refused to vote for the 6.9m population and is likely paying for it. I say respect for sticking to his convictions and not bowing down to pressure from his boss. this is a MP who served to serve the people, not for political ambition. One of the few PAP MPs with a heart. Be prepared for more disconnect as more yes men like anal koh fill the ranks... Huat ah!

it's renewal not turmoil. sinkies should appreciate and thank the pap for constantly renewing itself either frequently or every 5 years. frequently as like your underwear that absorbs all unsightly discharges and needs to be changed daily or every election cycle like the poisonous snake that sheds its skin once in a while to grow with an ever-hungry appetite to serve sinkies (for dinner). ;)

Amk grc should hv been dissolved n merged with moulin grc.

AMK GRC is always as solid as Gilbrator
Nothing will shake its greatness
Nobody will be able to replace LHL
AMK is the home base of LHL
Everyone resident there is a strong supporter
Everyone is a great fan of LHL
AMK will score the biggest victory
Which OPPO goes there surely mati one
The suicide squad better leave AMK alone!!!
They come in and lose their deposits
AMK is PAP stronghold
Nothing will be further from the truth

what turmoil
nonsense!!!

Darryl David:eek:

Why didn't the PAP field Gurmit Singh. Don't think he is doing anything useful at the moment.

I am hoping that they replace KBW with Henry Thia. Besides looking alike and always speaking nonsenses, Henry Thia is way more fun and likable.

Then PAP should be like COE every 10 years lets see who gets into ParLeeMent??
Capped at MAX 2 term!

Right? there's No Such a thing as PAP for 50 years!! It's like COE 10 yrs scrap it for good of Stinkapore!!

AMK is a PAP stronghold. Even though SDP's HQ is in AMK, they don't dare to contest in AMK. Instead, they run far far away to fight in Bukit Gombak. So, you don't have to worry about PM Lee replacing most of his GRC team mates. PAP will steam roll the opposition regardless.

Many people think Inderjit is booted out because he speaks for the people. i think is the other way round. Inderjit is directed by his master to prove pap has a different voice, knowing full well this will be his last term.
