The 'pretty woman' wanted in connection to loanshark harassment at Sembawang Close has been turned in to the police by her own mother.

You might remember this atypical loanshark suspect that police were looking for to assist in investigations on Jan 1.

She made headlines for her good looks that was not the type people usually associated with such cases. Netizens even joked that they would not mind getting "harassed" by her.
According to Lianhe Wanbao, her run was over when her mother saw multiple news reports about her daughter's involvement.

With an aching heart, she dragged her daughter to the police station to assist in investigations.

A police spokesperson has confirmed that the woman has been arrested, and was charged in court last Saturday, Jan 10.

If found guilty, loan shark harassment carries a jail sentence of up to five years and a fine between $5,000 to $50,000.

Would you take your own family members to the police if you saw them in the news, knowing that they could go to jail?

The police released an appeal on Jan 5 looking for a woman believed to be involved in a case of loanshark harassment near Sembawang Close on Jan 1. Her photo created a stir on social media because she did not look like the usual suspects the police would look for in relation to such cases.

The woman was reportedly then turned in to the police by her mother after the latter read the news.
