With the exception of Lawrence Wong's speech, it seems that the others had their speeches written by
the same writer? The sports analogies used were not easily understood: hitting home run, reach base
station etc.

The big words were not conducive to help the general population to understand the matter simply. CCS
demonstrated this by being unable to pronounce words like "albeit" or to help viewers to understand
the ratios of the football field. He was obviously struggling between his paper script and the teleprompter,
sitting at an awkward angle.

And that Dr Tan, even addressed viewers as "ladies and gentlemen" - and he looked like his wife had
given him a good luck kiss on his right cheek - there were lipstick-like marks.

What do you think?

I think today you cannot say "ladies and gentlemen"

It is sexist and exclusive. Better to just say good evening everyone.

For what they are paid in $m....rubbish.
