There is nothing you hope for PAP. History has shown that once an elite has entrenched themselves in power, they will only act to protect their privileges (and even increasing on this privileges as human behaviour always wants more). Expect them to squeeze the local more and more dry.

Indonesia and india are two screwed up nation. Whatever project they announced will be stuck for years in court due to crruption allegation. and the judges have no mercy for foreign investors which they consider as leeches. If you get in trouble with a local partner, the chances are you will lose everything or your operating license will be cancelled.

Indonesia is a vast land, encompassing different cultures and tribes. Joko comes across as a nice guy, but to run this country, being nice is not good enough on its own. With such a diverse country to manage, one has to be sharp, and it will take a lot of political wit to govern. There will be extremists, separatists, corrupt mayors, local police chiefs who make their own laws, and all kinds of crap, unlike Peesai where the population is obedient and pliant, and the land mass miniscule. I see Indonesia as the heavyweight in South-East Asia and should things takeoff there and grow, it will be enormous. Wishing him all the best. Good luck Joko!

Yeah Singaporeans are so law abiding and compliant people and land area so small, must be the easiest country on the earth to govern. And yet LHL can govern it from a clean and efficient country with happy citizens when handover to him to the other extreme now. Really lousy prime minister and yet drawing highest salary as prime minister on earth.

Whoever is this Indonesia president, his job must be 100 times more difficult with how many hundred million people and so big land area. LHL job size as a prime minister in comparison to this Indonesia president is peanuts.
