Some lawyer friends from New Orleans coming for conference. They are wondering if they can buy a prepaid card that will allow them to use their iphone 3g to cruise the net during their stay here in Singapore.

If so how much is the cost to access the net? And who offers they best service especially in Marina and Orchard area.

Thanks

There is Star-Suck's Happy Star card but it is GPRS only not mobile broad band. There are mobile broadband prepaid from M1 Star-Sucks & Stinktel which are SIM cards & HSPDA modem (mostly Hua Wei) they are faster then GPRS, but I think Apple i-phone is not a HSPDA modem itself. You have to get a Hua Wei device instead, in order to use the faster mobile broadband. GPRS can connect to Internet but they are quite slow.
:(

Thanks but I do not have iphone so no idea about 3G service and all. She did mention that her iphone is already unlocked

Anyway all my friend want to do is to cruise internet using iphone to check her gmail and maybe search internet for some info while in singapore. Anyway to use iphone without getting another modem. She is not bringing her laptop computer.
