据新加坡《联合早报》报道，当地时间7月1日起，从新加坡樟宜机场离境的乘客须支付额外13.30新加坡元(约合人民币63.5元)的费用，使机场离境费增至47.30元(新加坡元，下同)，到2024年还将增至62.30元。

新加坡交通部、民航局和樟宜机场集团近日发文告宣布，为资助新的机场发展项目包括第五搭客大厦(Terminal 5，简称T5)和樟宜东的航空基础设施建造费，政府将修订法案征收新的机场发展税。樟宜机场集团也将调高离境乘客的服务与保安费，以及航空公司的收费。
相关的航空(杂项修正)法案当地时间2月28日在新加坡国会提出一读。一旦通过，从7月1日起，离境乘客须缴付10.80元的机场发展税，在樟宜机场转机或过境的乘客则缴付3元。
在7月1日或之后发出的机票都受影响，在这之前购买机票但在7月后出发的乘客则无须额外缴税。
与此同时，樟宜机场集团也将在接下来的6年里，把目前定在27.90元的离境乘客服务与保安费，每年调高2.50元。从7月1日至明年3月31日，调高至30.40元，之后每年4月1日再调整，直到2024年，也就是樟宜东的建设预计建到一半的时候，过后当局会再检讨。
转机或过境乘客的服务与保安费则没有调整，维持在6元。
此外，航空公司的客机降陆、停泊和登机桥费用也从7月起调高1%，并在接下来的6年，每年4月1日上调1%，至2024年再检讨。
新加坡交通部和民航局指出，樟宜东的发展对新加坡巩固其航空枢纽的地位、长期维持竞争力至关重要。
