Teacher charged with theft

A PRE-SCHOOL teacher was charged in court on Tuesday with stealing $200 from a colleague over a two-week period. Gao Jingyuan, 27, who faces six charges, is alleged to have stolen between $10 and $50 from Mr Lai Sau Lai, 41, at the pre-school in Guillemard Road between Aug 29 and Sept 14. Her bail was extended. The Chinese national will appear in court again on Oct 5. If convicted, she faces a jail term of up to three years and/or a fine on each charge.
