When a newspaper blatantly said that an ambassador “...must have had his head kicked by a donkey”, isn't it libel( false statement that is damaging to a person's reputation), defamation, character assassination, denigration, vilification, disparagement, derogation, insult, slander, bad mouthing; sullying someone's reputation ?
A govt that has a fierce reputation of taking legal action against the international press is now not responding (by going to court) when its ambassador is being threatened ?
Can sue Amos and Roy why not sue the pants out of the Global Times?

Yup. A PRC publication owned and controlled by the PRC govt has physically threatened the ambassador with death or injury at the hands of a donkey. Yet no action. If Roy or Amos say that the ambassador should have his head kicked by a donkey, they will be arrested in double quick time. Everyone knows the PAP are cowards. Why is the WP silent on this? Why has has the WP not ask the govt to respond to these threats against our ambassador?
