PRC couple tenants rent 5 room HDB unit to 20 sub-tenants

A Singaporean manager rented out his 5 room HDB unit at block 714 Woodlands to a couple from China, only to found out that they have rented the unit out to 20 sub-tenants 3 months later. Mr Tan, a logistic manager, made the shocking discovery when he went into his house to collect rent after the unnamed PRC couple kept coming out of excuses to deny him a visit.

Five double-decker beds were set up in the master room, three double-decker beds in one room, a queen-size bed in another room and two queen-size beds with white cloths as partitions in the living room.

When confronted by Mr Tan, the PRC couple lied in his face and said in Chinese:

“Nobody sleep on these beds. They are only for show.”

Corpses of cockroaches and human faeces were found all over the 5 room unit and the place was filthy and smelly. Fearing that his HDB unit might be confiscated by the authority, Mr Tan made a police report and complained to the HDB, which cancelled the rental agreement.

In fact the petty landlords are the ones supportive of the pappy as they fear a change of govt will reduce foreign workers who are their main source of rental income.

This Mr. Tan fella should be barred from renting his units for 5 years. ( he should made checks and exercise due diligence)

The 20 odd PRC fellow should be returned to their homeland and barred from stepping on our soil for 5 years..for their part in helping to break written rules.

The tiongs do not respect the laws and the lawmen even in their own country. Do you think they afraid of softie mata mata, softie judges, softie HDB in sinkie land? To these tiongs, these sinkie authorities are just for show to bite only the locals.

Rent them an HDB flat, any flat, any location and these tiongs will turn it into a mini-hotel or brothel in no time. Are local flat owner in collusion? HDB is a softie when it comes to enforcing the rules on owners letting out their flats to foreigners.

Now, the pinoys, ah nehs, burmese and thais are also into the same game but not caught yet.
