Speaker Tarmugi praises Budget as 'landmark'

AFTER nine days of intense debates, Speaker of the House Abdullah Tarmugi yesterday praised this year's Budget as being a "landmark", which he said laid the groundwork for Singapore's next level of development.
Mr Tarmugi, who is an MP for East Coast GRC, lauded MPs for mostly sticking to their allotted time, and for the "sharp exchanges" that ensued.
