Uhmm what is so difficult about paying your deductible first then have your insurance claim against the other insurance. It is normal!

As long as you make the police report and have the videos to prove who is at fault you are fine.

As for the increase in premiums that is up to the sinkieland insurance companies.

What I can tell you from personal experience though is that the sinkieland insurance companies and the workshops are all in cahoots.

The workshop will inflate the cost of repair. So that the insurance company will say ok write off total loss. Then they pay you the value of your car minus a percentage (they claim this is part of their costs) and you are left with an amount that does not enable you to buy a replacement vehicle.
