Epa rated it's effective battery range at 201 miles.
That's less than the lowest range Tesla and even less than a nissan leaf... And the fact the taycan is carrying the Largest (!!!) Battery pack of all the EVs I mentioned.
But still, good first effort. They are at least 2 generations behind the latest teslas. Tesla has been working on EVs since the roadster in 2008 and have been continually evolving both Hardware and Software, and creating their own super charger network infrastructure is genius.
Coupled with solar City eventually powering the super charger stations, Tesla is going to be a dominating force in automobility in time to come.
And if Elon delivers on his promise of full autonomous driving, the monetization of the Tesla fleet as self driving taxis will be incredible.
Software wise, no other organization in this solar system has gathered more autonomous driving data than Tesla. With shadow mode running and reporting back to Tesla servers, they have gathered billions of miles and millions of hours of raw data assessing how the AI would react vs a real human driver. It is insane. Not even Google comes close.
And with Tesla now charging for internet data in the cars, and space X launching his own fleet of internet satellites to eventually provide this data, Tesla has achieved incredible depth in the sheer scale of integration they have across the business.
Long Tesla!
