Popular nightspot 57 Chevy in Katong shuts down

I don't pay attention to nightspots mainly because I'd rather spend my leisure hours in a quiet, serene place. Drinking beer, I can do it at home, or at a kopitiam with old friends. I will only patronise a nightclub if the music (live singer/band) is really good and to my taste. Seventies rock music is what I grew up with, anything else doesn't really interest me. Worst are those Filipino bars where the idiot girls come sit around and try to start some conversation on some stupid subject and try to get ya to buy them a drink, I'd rather be left alone. Sometimes but rarely, I go to the pubs at Clarke/Boat Quay, but that is because of work social requirements and the tab is submitted as "expenses" claims, else I don't fancy paying those prices for booze.

Cheers!

The thing is there are many local pubs and bars in singapore.....

Not all nightspots are loud and noisy. You need to get out more.

You must have visited those types of bars. Not all bars require you to buy ladies drinks and not all bars have those types of laides.

There is a hotel with 2 floors full of orchard tower type of bars located in the east but i cannot recall the name. It's pretty famous. Comeon some of you niggers know it.

Ok now i recall it's paramount hotel. It's where all the pinoy whores hang out at and it's the orchard towers in the east.

Thanks, I am sure there are different types of nightclubs for different blokes. I am now grown out of that age where going out to nightspots is a thrill. Am a domesticated animal that stays home once home from work nowadays. Rent video, buy beer, drink at home.

Cheers!

In my early years soon after I started working, meeting friends at pubs during happy hours and drinking till we were sloshed to the gills was a regular affair, and at different bars and pubs too. Stopped doing that for quite a while already. Don't find it fun anymore and besides, don't wish to drink and drive these days. Too risky.

Cheers!
