Let's say you qualify for the same course in NUS and NTU, which will you go?
NUS right?

Let's say you qualify for the same course in SMU and NTU, which will you go?
SMU right?

Let's say you are a foreigner, unsubsidized, qualified for NUS and NTU, which will you go?
NUS right?

Let's say you are a foreigner, unsubsidized, qualified for LSE, UCL and NTU, which will you go?
Not NTU right?

Let's say you are a foreigner, it costs the same for you to enrol into UNSW, Melbourne U, and NTU, which will you go?
Not NTU right?

The NTU today is not Nantah. NTU is ranked fairly high in global rankings but it's not because it is good.

It is ranked high because of it's "cultural diversity" with plenty of China, Indian, ASEAN students subsidized to study in Singapore and inferior teaching staff from these countries. Student can feedback about shitty professors, but nothing will happen to them. In Asia, top Chinese Korean and Japanese universities boast with far greater academic achievements and NTU will be ranked much lower behind them if these universities prioritize the hiring of foreign professors and recruiting foreign students, desperately like what NTU does.

NTU is like a shithole these days. The campus is like Chinatown or Little India these days.

While our local kids teach tuition, work part-time or use parent's CPF loan for their uni education, the NTU foreign students enjoys sex orgies in campus dorms during weekends, and with got spare allowance to smoke weed these days because most are on an all-expense paid trip (fees, lodging and allowance). Without subsidies and scholarships, foreign students will rather go to another university in Singapore or another country.

No doubt, NTU continues to train many local students with good academic results, it is a tough route to survive due to the biased grading system that forgives foreign students with weaker English proficiency. For years, NTU grads are good obedient civil servants or managers in private sector. However, networking is important in university life. Only a tiny fraction of Singapore's leading politicans and wealthy families enrol their kids to NTU; local students from better-to-do families will rather go to another local university or overseas than going mingle with poorer peers in NTU.

Loong was sent on fake SAF Scholarship award created by his father to disrupt his NSF liability at age 18.

Whereas poor peasants like us whom studied difficult electronics course, 2 years of VITB are pushed into NSF liability wasted 2 years.

Instead of go straight into the industry to gain work experiences not to waste 2 years doing shit NSF liability not related to electronics industry.

Whereas he sent his son Loong straight to UK to further study his favourite subject Maths and not waste 2 years of his time. This means he gained 2 years and we lost 2 years.

Enough of this bullshit nation defence... for the sake of the descendants and next generations abolish NSF liability.

Fuck you lanjiao loong..

Back in the day, I heard horrible stories from my friends who went to NTU... the lecturer roster was infested with Tiong and ah neh FTs, who didn't even speak proper English. If you went to seek clarification personally after the lecture from him/her, you became even more confused. :roflmao:

These university ranking are academic oriented and the rich countries and institutions can game the system by using money to achieve whatever criteria to gain more points .
It does not measure the impact or contribution to society in terms of discovery, inventions ect2 and totally ignore whether the students can get the job of their choice or has a sustainable career.

Nowadays no need NUS or NTU, any average UNI will do because good school or good grades does not mean anything anymore.

If you get to read NTU's annual report, they have over $600 million in debts. They would not be in this shit if they had restrained from providing scholarships and grants to the foreign students.

Our local medical community shares that MOH recruits junior doctors graduated from maximum shithole countries such as Pakistan, Philippines, Myanmar and send them to UK for specialist training. There are so many good natured kids in Singapore who want to be a doctor in Singapore but we prefer to take in foreigners to weaken other countries, and cold-storage our aspiring children.

Uptron diploma will give u an added advantage.

MOM outsources part of these Uptron verification process to "partners" who are either takes bribes or related to people in MOM.

Even Temasek's investment arms employ graduates from lousier universities in Malaysia in their fund management, instead of diligent NTU Accountancy or Biz grads. Even our local poly business, banking and finance diploma students are of better calibre.

internship is important these days. Many students postpone their graduation by a year or two to work for top-notch companies as interns.

Foreign grads will gladly blow their superiors to climb the corporate ladder. It's a known fact, some even blow their own PRC prof in NTU and ended married/preg.

I am glad they won't let me in.

Sorry to hear that. It's a shame that NTU even hire companies (related to their insiders) to do recruitments in China and subsidizes these freshmen.

Probably this is how they incurred hundreds of million in additional spending/debts.
