SINGAPORE: Two men have been arrested for suspected involvement in a case of armed robbery at a convenience kiosk, police said in a news release on Thursday (Feb 11).

The men - both aged 22 - allegedly donned balaclavas and targeted the business along Serangoon Road at about 3.30am on Thursday. Armed with a knife, they were believed to have made off with cash amounting to S$600 and 20 cartons of cigarettes.

Officers from the Central Division spotted "two suspicious men" who fled upon their arrival at the scene, the Singapore Police Force said in a news release. The officers gave chase and arrested one of the suspects.

The second suspect was arrested at Blk 520 Woodlands Drive 14 on the same day at about 2.30pm. Cash, cartons of cigarettes, gloves, a balaclava and an assortment of weapons were recovered and seized as case exhibits......cna
better beware...from being experts in taking refuge inside ambulances, they can also handle terrorists:cool:

It would be interesting to know how many police cars were deployed, how many policemen were in plainclothes to handle 2 adult suspects?

i would hazard to say that special ops team, gurkhas and many ambulances (for cover and first-line defence) were activated, as these two donned balaclavas with assortment of weapons macham terrorists -but after learning that only $600 and 20 cartons of cigs were taken, they rtu and called in the s'pore customs instead :o...welcome
