We must understand that Politics is Filth disguised as Parliamentary Finesse. If one masters the fine art of 'Two Face', he/she will thrive.
Of late, after the near Procedural Presidential electoral defeat of Phony Tan and the perceived electoral swing towards dissenters during the 2011 Procedural Elections, the 'in' thing among lackeys and minions is to talk about Political Reforms and speak for local peasants. In Bahasa Indonesian, 'Wayang'.
Day in, day out, we have Mouthpiece media reporting lackeys and minions pretending to speak for peasants and articulating about political reforms and participation. Minion Baey, one of the Proproganda bigwigs is no exception. In his prepared speech to the Peasants' Representatives 2011 opening session, he is believed to have say something to the effect ...,
'appealed to the regime to reduce its efforts to remove or correct what it perceives to be negative reports in mainstream media controlled by Mouthpieces.'
One could be fool by his suggestion but should read further before forming an educated conclusion....
Minion Baey also suggested the regime differentiate among different areas in cyberspace, customise its propaganda strategies and apply the appropriate treatment (censorships, nitpicking lawsuits).
Minion Baey speaks with a forked tongue but there lies his intelligent suggestion.
The regime need not censor mainstream media because Mouthpieces do not print negative reports. The only negative reports usually bemoan lazy local peasants and the regime's exhortation for peasants and serfs to be 'cheaper, faster and better'.
However what is 'appropriate treatment' is required for cyberspace?
One example is the silly case of former Temasick Review's Ong.
What happened to Ong?
He was deemed as the owner of TRE who regularly provide embarassing scoops of the regime's gabras. The 'appropriate treatment' take place in two forms, demonising and legalist tricks. Ong was demonised as a porno goon. When Ong failed to catch the hint, he is recently charged in court for a silly crime; alleged conducting an online straw poll of the elections that is illegal. Yes, straw polls are illegal in Peasantpore because many straw polls will make Ruler Loong and his Merry Men look like idiots.
Conclusion
With such trickery by the regime, CNA, the Mouthpiece has wasted bandwidth and storage space by publishing Baey's insincere exhortations that amounts to nothing except status quo. Perhaps Baey should sign up a foreign legion of cherub choir boys who crow 'Glory, glory, glory to Ruler Loong' 24x7.
