POLICE STATEMENT ON 369 GANGS Nov 12, 2010

"Police will continue with our enforcement actions against gangs. Youth offenders will not be treated lightly simply because of their age and there will be no leniency for those who disregard the law. All gang behaviour will be dealt with firmly and decisively by the Police."

Copied from CNA website....

I think this is the current most used statement by the new Home Affair Minister and then the various police heads (Head CID few days back, now Commander of Bedok Police Division)

Gosh.... Did they just forward the same statement made by the minster to all the police heads to use...

What is needed is a reform of the system, from top to down. The Home Team had been complacent, sitting on their butt; twiddling their thumbs & collecting big salaries ( affordable).

These youth gangs just do not appear suddenly; it had been around for sometime, we have to wait for 'dead bodies' to float to the suface, before action had to taken.

So, what is new?, more to come!!:p

Like a good doctor, you have diagnosed the REAL problem. Now, we need a surgeon to perform the operation. If the surgeon is not found quickly enough, a pathologist will soon have to perform an autopsy.

This is just another example of a 'motherhood' statement. Such statements are 'protected' coz you can't go wrong with it. Not only the police practices this. All govt departments sama sama.
