SINGAPORE - Police have received several reports about a video showing a masked, knife-wielding man walking around Singapore, claiming that all crime, including murder, will be allowed for the next 12 hours.
The YouTube video, named Purge Prank, is produced by MerlionTV. It shows a man wearing a menacing mask like in the Hollywood movie, The Purge, and going around scaring passerbys.
Said the police: "We have since advised the producer on the possible consequences of staging such pranks, which may generate unnecessary alarm, fear and panic in the community.
"The Police would like to take this opportunity to advise the public to refrain from such activities."
