Police nab 81 people after checks at entertainment outlets
SINGAPORE: A total of 81 Singaporeans and foreigners were arrested for offences such as illegal employment, immigration, and public-order related offences, in a police operation at entertainment belts from Friday night till Saturday morning.
The island-wide operation involved officers from the Singapore Police Force, Central Narcotics Bureau and the Singapore Civil Defence Force.
The arrests were a result of checks conducted at entertainment outlets in Foch Road, South Bridge Road, Tras Street and Magazine Road.
Suspects arrested were seven male Singaporeans and 74 female foreigners aged between 17 and 38.
