Another resentment fuming against mata.
The Singapore police has arrested and handcuffed some 80 teenagers between the ages of 12 and 21 for suspected involvement in loanshark activities.
Some of the students were still in school uniforms when they were arrested by the police. They were accused of assisting loansharks in distributing pamphlets around the housing estates.
One mother told Channel News Asia that her 14-year-old son had worked in a holiday job by helping to distribute flyers for furniture instalments. She added that her son found the job via an online advertisement.
Some parents were also outraged at the way their children were being ‘humiliated’ by the Singapore police and are considering seeking legal recourse.
The shocking spate of arrests sparked a furore among netizens with many lampooning the police for their high-handedness.

“Double standard at its world’s best. You can never find another Police Force like the one in Singapore. Feel shameful.”
Mark Liew added:
“Being handcuffed is very bad luck. Especially if one is young and innocent. If my kid is being handcuffed for this, I will seek legal recourse.”
Sham Mulisa put it succinctly:
“The parents have to pay $2k to bail them out? Wah, the pigs make the students really look like criminals. Pity them. Working part time for an unknown firm which is a loan shark syndicate. Erm.. What about that racist PRC cunt? Was he even arrested? Was he even fucking handcuffed? Damn. Day by day my respect for pigs goes lower and lower.”
The Singapore police is well known for bullying Singaporeans, but when it comes to PAP MPs and foreigners suspecting of committing crimes, they dare not take action against them.
Till today, there are no updates on the police investigations in the cases of PAP MP Tin Pei Ling and PRC deliveryman Zhou Hou yet.
