Police arrest man who stripped naked on MRT train
SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a man who stripped naked while travelling on an MRT train on Thursday evening.
Photos of the naked man on the train have been circulating online.
Responding to queries, public transport operator SMRT confirmed that a male passenger has been arrested by the police.
The passenger was travelling from Bukit Batok towards Khatib when he began to undress completely.
SMRT said another passenger activated the emergency communication button on the train at 6.54pm.
SMRT staff boarded the train at Khatib station two minutes later to take the naked man away.
The man was subsequently handed over to the police.
The man, a 32-year-old Singaporean, was arrested for an obscene act.
It is understood that the man is under police custody.
