A man who is believed to have made off with rented photography equipment on multiple occasions was arrested by the police on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old man had allegedly rented equipment from electronic shops in Chinatown, New Bridge Road and Coleman Street but never came back to return them.
Police first started investigating the matter after receiving several reports earlier this month. They managed to identify the suspect and he was caught along Havelock Road on Wednesday morning.
Photography equipment including five cameras, four chargers, eight batteries and a lens was recovered. If convicted of criminal breach of trust, he could be jailed for up to seven years and fined.
