SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a total of 176 suspects, aged between 18 and 82, in a series of anti-crime operations held over four days.

They are currently under investigation for suspected involvement in illegal employment, vice activities, gambling and drug-related offences.

The multi-agency operation, led by Central Division, covered a wide area in the central part of Singapore.

This included commercial buildings, shophouses as well as private and public residential buildings in locations such as Little India, Chinatown, Tiong Bahru, Bencoolen and Boat Quay.

In a press release on Tuesday (Sept 13), Deputy Assistant Commissioner of Police Arthur Law, who is also Commander of Central Division, expressed his appreciation to all the units and agencies involved in the operations.

They should spend more time investigating foreigners who obtain EP/WP here with fake papers .This is even a more serious crime-against the locals by stealing jobs.
