PM's warnings (investors are looking) to electorate now come back to haunt him now

I hate many individuals who make up the PAP but as political organisation, it has done wonders for the country.

I agree with Sam that as a political organisation they have done wonders but not for the country, for themselves, by remaining in power for fifty odd years. Throughout this period, the country's political development stood still. Sam is also right that this is all because of one man and the organisation is personality oriented. Without the old man, it will be a headless fly circling around aimlessly.

Nobody was more obsessed with power than LKY. He was so obsessed that he went as far as to lock up his opponents, without trial, for 3 decades!!!

The current generation are a bunch of pussies in comparison.

My point of view on the PAP in the past (70s and early 80s) was not based on political suppression by the PAP towards its rivals. It's more on the way the government had listened and treated its people during that period as compared to currently.

Anyway, I'm eager to see how the Singapore's political climate will next transformed when the old man goes up lorry. In my opinion, the present leaders helming the PAP are selfish and arrogant, probably they have been in positions for too long a period. With the improving capability of some of the opposition members, especially from WP, it would be good to begin by having a coalition government (from the next GE) so as to deny the constitutional majority to the PAP. Thereafter, the people should wake up and judge whether which is the more capable and creditable party to eventually accept.
