(KUALA LUMPUR, 23 Jun): Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has declared emergency in Muar and Ledang districts with immediate effect after API readings in the two areas surpassed the 750 mark.

Earlier, Natural Resources and Environment Minister Datuk Seri G Palanivel earlier this morning had said Muar recorded the highest with 750, followed by Bukit Rambai, Malacca (357) and Malacca City with (364).

The highest API ever recorded in Malaysia was in Sarawak in 1997 with reading of 860….

The above is reposted in TRE. The Malaysians are using the API system. I am not sure of the equivalent to the PSI. Whatever, the situation is dire. If this were to hit us today, many of us will still be having problems getting our N95. But staying in doors and using wet towels should help at least.

The respite we have may not last and the PSI could go north again, like in Muar. Be prepared.

Why the Singapore Parliament so quiet. Should arrange an extra-ordinary session and brain-storm what we can do about this chemical warfare weapon of mass destruction.

That's why I said so many times, we have voted in a self-serving, chobolan crony-based Nigerian scam Parliament.

What a mockery.

Notice the deafening silence from the people like DPM Teo and the other ministers?
Let's get these highly paid buggers to talk first before we get Parliament talking.
Would the PAP be able to answer questions?

Told you guys that Muar PSI reading was taken off air after it hit 500 yesterday after 3pm.

Speaker Halimah wont lift a finger not as long as Lee Sr lives

PM came out to wayang today seeing that its not so hazy.
Put on masks for low income elderly....full wayang very convincing to the 60.1%

So PSI need to hit above 700 for govt to act? API and PSI equal?

Only hope is to pray that smear of shit on sole of shoe LKY die soon soon soon.
Our nightmare and hell on Earth will be over.
Rainbows will burst out and haze will disappear as LKY think that is joss sticks burning and he go eat up all the fucking haze

AND WE ALL HAVE OUR FUCKING YUM YUM YUMMMMMMMM SENG!

HAZE UPDATE: Sultan Johor advises Muar folk to remain calm

JOHOR BARU: The Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar today reminded his subjects to remain calm and avoid from panicking following the health emergency status declared in Muar and Ledang.
"It is an emergency to encourage the people to be indoor for their own good…do not worry, there are no riots," he said in a telephone interview.
Sultan Ibrahim who was on his way to Kuala Lumpur to attend the Conference of Rulers, said he dropped by briefly this morning in Muar to see the situation and would come and stay for two nights upon the conclusion of the meeting.
"May the haze act as a lesson to us. Let's understand the effect and stop open burning," Sultan Ibrahim said.
He asked his subjects to adhere to the emergency, and stay indoors until it is lifted.
Meanwhile, Menteri Besar Johor Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin also advised the people to remain calm and refrain from rushing out to stock-up on food, as the emergency status was declared to encourage them to stay indoor due to the haze.
Mohamed Khaled on his facebook page said the declaration was based on health reasons and no action would be taken against those who chose to go out.
He advised Johoreans especially in Muar and Ledang where a health emergency status was declared by the Prime Minister today, to remain indoor as the Air Pollutant Index recorded a hazardous reading.
"Stay indoors, avoid going out and please drink lots of water. Senior citizens, those with respiratory problems and children, are encouraged to stay indoors. Please wear a mask when you go outdoors," he said.
He also reminded motorists to switch on their headlights as a precautionary measure, and reminded Johoreans of the ban on open burning.
Those caught flouting the ban face RM500,000 fine or a five-year jail or both. There is also a maximum compound of RM2,000 for every offence conducted.
He urged Johoreans to lodge a report with the Johor Environment Department toll-free-number 1-800-88-2727, when they spot anyone conducting open burning.
He also requested all Johorean to conduct prayers according to their faiths and for Muslims to conduct the Solat Hajat at all mosque and surau in the state between Maghrib and Isyak.

The Haze problem was around since 1997.. it is already 16 years

..Can Parliament debate year by year, what has the govt has done and not done...guess, yearly, it is only lip service for one two weeks and wait for the rain to douse the fire and enthusiasm.

Also, can Parliament debate this problem and tie it to the Extradiction treaty problem we have with their corrupt Indonesian officials and the hundreds of $Billions.

The Indonesian official has opening said... $0.5 million to $ 1 million, they are not interested..

The Haze problem is more than just censuring some agricultural companies on SGX.. It is about keeping mega money onshore to boost Singapore
as a financial hub...

The Indonesian is not going to relent until the billions are returned to them...and of course some of these will be siphoned off...

16 years passed and no progress..

This HAZE problem is very deeply rooted to MONEY.

The only time the Sinkie PAP govt will declare a state of emergency is when a legion of naked Chee Soon Juans run amok all over the island, distributing seditious leaflets declaring freedom and liberty.

No act of war, terrorism, pandemic or natural disaster will make those overpaid nincompoops budge.

Let's hope the haze settles in KL. Maybe Najib can knock some sense into Abang!!

He also requested all Johorean to conduct prayers according to their faiths and for Muslims to conduct the Solat Hajat at all mosque and surau in the state between Maghrib and Isyak.

ok...this part of the whole article does not make any sense at all..

That rainbows are in the fucking sky is of the doing of LKY

And when the haze is from the fires started and created by the companies of LKY Stinkapore sovereign funds, the blame is on the PAP bastards
And to see those PAP bastards now running with their heads stuck up their own arseholes and behaving worse than children
