i think the companies he visited in silicon valley are just pretentious and being polite to him. who'd speak his mind to the head of state??!! we are just a small corporate island run by elites worthy of connection. google and facebook 'd rather eye china as their next big pie rather than s'pore with a mere population of 6 mil. oh yes, pm lee gonna bring in more foreigners to top it at 10 mil, and that's not even a quarter of pple what china and india has. cost wise, it's cheaper and more talents there but a bit of language barrier, sinkies come to think of it speak english fairly well only:o

wait till you see them for yourself in the valley. if the valley were to have all 3 of sg's excellent facilities, employees and employers here would be wanking themselves into high heaven and produce more innovations and world changing products. moreover sg produce students from polytechnics that are good with practical problem solving, coding, math and engineering. over here most high school students know jackshit about tech until they go to the right college or university, if only they can get admitted as those who are admitted to engineering schools are mostly nehs and chinks from india, china, taiwan, hk and sg.

google just acquired an app startup in sg and plans to use it to create a dev-op hub for their asian expansion. it speaks highly of sg's growing importance to valley tech.

Silicon Valley is all about technological break through, advancement of technology break through, test bed for ideas and real ideas go through with flurry of competition.

How can Singapore be relevant to Silicon Valley? Singapore is a place for the PAP army general and Elite's and play ground. There is nothing ground breaking, nothing fantastic that grows.

The only business that are flowing like flurry are the land lords, utility, and company providing essential items.
