Dear readers,
We have been overwhelmed by grief over the passing of Mr J.B. Jeyaretnam.
Thanks to your suggestions, we have decided to set up a memorial to JBJ in cyberspace to preserve his legacy here:
www.jbjmemorial.wordpress.com
The JBJ Memorial is set up in remembrance of Mr J.B. Jeyaretnam, Singapore’s opposition icon and patriot.
For years, he has been a lone voice in the political wilderness calling for reforms in the current political system.
He has been a constant thorn in the flesh of the PAP which has led to a dubious conviction, multiple defamation suits leading to bankruptcy and constant vilification and ridicule by the state-controlled media.
Even after his passing, the state media continues to judge him based on his ‘failures’, conviction and bankruptcy.
Is this how we want our beloved JBJ to be remembered for ? The PAP does not want our children to be aware of the existence of JBJ.
Let us collate everything we know about JBJ on this blog for future generations of Singaporeans lest his spirit, legacy and contributions be forgotten.
Please share the JBJ Memorial with everybody you know.
