Royal Navy found it impossible to defend ships under British flag in the Gulf of Hormuz, a much more tiny stretch of sea compared to South China Sea. And against Iran with firepower not even 1% that of China
Isn’t it better for HMS Queen Elizabeth and the Royal Navy to stay around Britain to defend her shores from the invading marauding immigrants out to get dole and freebies for themselves while they go taharushing and driving trucks on pavements?
And to keep Prince Andrew from jail will be a more useful and doable task for the Royal Navy instead of poking nose in areas far far away.
Or to bring back all those stuck and stranded when Thomas Cook up lorry.
What will UK dream of next? Sending and marching troops and sepoys to Beijing to burn down Tiananmen the same way they raped and burned and looted the Summer Palace in order to civilize China?

I have watched the US navy in action. I feel that there is no other force in the world today that is comparable. They have their fair share of problems. But so does every other navy. #2 it's hard to decide between china and russia. China has more money and equipment, russia has more experienced and battle hardened soldiers.
