International Plaza. People's Park Complex. And the Fu Lu Shou Complex. Constructed after independence, these buildings may have a special place in Singapore's built heritage.

After destroying Rochor Centre, Pearl's Centre and other buildings and only now you're doing this.

Based on Golden Mile's experience, the buyer didn't know it shortlisted to be conserved. So they are given other benefits; including a one-third increase in floor area with a waiver of part of its development charge (DC) and the option to adjust the boundary of the 1.3ha site.

Most importantly, they have to retain the development's landmark main building that is famed for its signature stepped terraces atop the podium facing Nicoll Highway.

Other key features that have to be kept include the stepped building profile and plinth-like profile on the side facing Beach Road.

Dont understand why ppl want to stop progress. Those buildings on paper have no cultural or architectural significance. Things like the original post office or hill street cop shop. Made of granite that can conserve n reuse. Ppl park, golden mile is just a bloody building. Why stop progress?
