Those Chinese were raped and sodomised by the Mongolians, and now they claim the islands as theirs just because kublai khan said so.
The philipinos does not need huge armoury and arms to defeat the nomkompoops from the mainland. They have Abu sayaf on their side. Not even the mighty US can fight the Abu sayafs.

Following your logic nomadic herdsmen can defeat the US.

Philippine fruit impounded amid China sea spat
Posted: 12 May 2012 1255 hrs

MANILA: China has impounded Philippine fruit exports alleged to carry pests, squeezing a key industry amid a tense stand-off between the two countries over disputed territory, a Philippine official said.

Manila newspapers on Saturday reported tonnes of Philippine bananas were rotting at Chinese ports, while the Philippines' Bureau of Plant Industry director Clarito Barron confirmed fruit shipments faced stricter inspection there.

"This has a huge effect on the industry," Barron said, describing China as an important market having imported 300,000 tonnes of Philippine bananas worth $60 million last year.

The Philippine Daily Inquirer newspaper quoted Stephen Antig, president of an association of 18 banana growers, saying they had sustained losses of one billion pesos (about $236,000) because bananas spoiled after three days.

Chinese quarantine officials informed the Philippines that all its banana exports would have to face inspection before they clear Chinese ports after scale insects were allegedly found in one March shipment, Barron said.

The stricter quarantine measures were later extended to Philippine pineapples and papayas after Chinese authorities claimed they also found pests in a May 2 shipment, he said in an interview aired on DZBB radio in Manila.

Barron said the Philippines disputes the Chinese findings, stressing that the bugs allegedly found on the March shipment attacked coconuts, not bananas.

With total shipments worth $470.96 million last year, bananas are the Philippines's second-largest agricultural commodity export after coconuts, according to government data.

China is the Philippines' second-largest banana market after Japan.

The most powerful navy in SEA is Royal Thai Navy. It has fleet and combat range from India to China to Australia. But that's just technical range, they probably won't dare overstretch themselves like that unless some admirals go crazy.

Ramseth, Royal Thai Navy is a joke. Perhaps your assessment comes from very old info. Most of the current vessels cannot operate beyond Thai sea lanes. Their aircraft carrier is another joke, all Harriers had been decommissioned more than 10 years ago and this vessel is sitting in Sattahip doing fuckoff. The Navy is bankrupt.

So now it has become a banana war, what a joke. The Philippines now pissing in their pants because of bananas how are they going to even pull the first trigger?

China denies preparing war over South China Sea shoal

China has denied reports its military forces are preparing for war amid tensions over a disputed territory in the South China Sea. The defence ministry statement comes despite warnings to the Philippines that military conflict is possible over a reef known as the Scarborough Shoal.

Ships from China and the Philippines have been confronting each other for more than a month over the shoal. Both sides accuse the other of intruding into territorial waters.

"Reports that the Guangzhou military region, the South China Sea fleet and other units have entered a state of war preparedness are untrue," the ministry said in a brief statement on its website late on Friday.

Fears of an armed clash escalated when the Chinese army's own newspaper warned the military should not be treated as a paper tiger, says BBC Asia analyst Charles Scanlon. That led to excited rumours on Chinese internet sites that the navy was preparing for action and that the Guangzhou military command in the south of the country was on a war footing, our analyst says.

The defence ministry has officially denied those reports - but hardline elements in the leadership appear to be losing patience with the defiant approach of a much smaller neighbour. Analysts say the central government may see an opportunity to deflect attention from its internal problems.

But its intentions are far from clear - and the competing interests of maritime agencies and the military mean its next step is hard to predict, our analyst adds.
Protests. On Friday, several hundred protesters demonstrated at the Chinese embassy in Manila, calling for China to withdraw its ships from the shoal. The row began early last month when the Philippines said its naval ship had found eight Chinese fishing vessels at the shoal, which is claimed by both sides.A number of Chinese and Philippine fishery and coastguard ships remain stationed at the shoal, with both sides refusing to withdraw.

The shoal itself, called Huangyan Island by China, is a series of rocks and reefs more than 100 miles (160km) from the Philippines and 500 miles from China. China claims sovereignty over a large U-shaped area of the South China Sea, bringing it into dispute with several neighbouring countries. In recent months, it has grown more assertive over the issue. Manila has asked China to settle the issue at the International Tribunal on the Law of the Sea (ITLOS).

On Saturday, Australian Foreign Minister Bob Carr - speaking at the start of a visit to China - called on countries in the region to settle their claims through international law.

"We don't take a side on the various claims over the South China Sea," he said.
"But we do, given our interest in the South China Sea, given the fact that a large proportion of our trade travels through it, ... call on governments to clarify and pursue those claims and accompanying maritime rights in accordance with international law including the UN Law of the Sea Convention."

All these stretching and muscling shown by the big bullies also no use, especially if they are one of the UN members.

That is the reason why china always opposed for the sake of opposing and made friends with terrorist countries like North korea, Iran, syria..etc.

US and the West like to use Human Rights as an excuse to press the PRC Chinese to give way. But, China and Russia are both alike. They will not condemn the Syrian regime but to veto a "No" instead ? They both wants the Syrian regime to stay and to continue their political relationship.

Who ever who has the bigger fists wins, this is hardcore geo-politics and military fact.

Let's face oit, the Pinoy is too weak to defend anything even at its doorstep.

Confronting China head-on would be suicidal for the Pinoys.

Current stationing of US navy ships in Singapore is just posture,Pinoy is trying to flap their wing, using US as a show of force.

If the shooting start will most likely be a minor scratch, it won't be a full blown war, unless US do really want to go all the way mutual destruction.

Do you think US will go to war for the pinoy, they kick US out, now asking for US help, what do they have to offer to the US other exporting pinoys to the US.

Triple Dare the pinoy to strike first, their bark are louder then their bites, they will be very very sorry if they strike first.

What rubbish are you talking about? The Chinese name those islands 2000 years ago. China has the right to those islands according to international laws. What makes you think the uncivilized pinoz have a claim too?

Bro,u r absolutely correct,Singaporeans must support our PRC cousins!Falklands and Guam are far away from UK and USA respectively but they are still theirs!

Looking at the recent days of cause of Actions taken by China....

1. Pulling back their touring groups from Philippines by 16 May 2012 - as quoted by CCTV

2. Economics actions taken against importing Philippines fruits, like banana.

3. Protests of Pinoy in China Embassy in Manila due to economic sanctions imposed.

This is only within a few days time of what China is doing.

When I saw the Pinoy President on TV, he appeared very nervous, and didn't know what the fuck hornet nest he has stirred... he was literally shaking.

China is now stepping up their economic sanctions... if Philippines don't back off now, and kowtow to China... there should be more economic sanctions...

2 Major Sources of Revenue for Pinoy Land is already cut, in a matter of days... it'll be a matter of days that Pinoy Land will operate in huge deficits, which they are already in...

Don't you see this pattern quite similar to that of last year's action taken against the Japs? China will just find out which of the commodities that they are current trading with their naughty neighbor and cut off... in the case of Japs, it's Rare Earth (which helps build advanced electronics in Jap exports, without rare earth, no exports, means no revenue), in the case of Pinoy Land, Tourism and Fruits, no tourists from China, no Fruits imports from China, means no revenue for Pinoy Land...

We know what Japan did eventually, they Kuai Kuai return the fisherman unconditionally....

in this case, I think it'll just be within 1 month or so, Philippines finally Kowtow to China, and say, sorry lah, it's your land, please continue tourism and buy our fruits...

THE TENSION is escalating.

Some Manila experts says that it's because right now the economic turmoil in Philippine is pretty bad, the President is using this issue to divert the main issue to this political scrummage.

Pinoys are now shitting and peeing in their pants...

I hope Pinoys shoot the first round to China's warship... there will be some good live shows if that really happens... however, just my wishful thinking. I really don't think Pinoys have the balls to shoot the first round, China will be pleased that they do, it truly gives them the right to start a committed war, and claim more territorial sea rights and some parts of lands from Pinoys.

give them one more month of China's economic sanctions against Pinoy Land... and Pinoy President will just apologize, and beg China to continue Tourism and Fruits Imports.

Possibility of China using force first is extremely low. she can annihilate both VC and Pinoy navies in a matter of days with her current strength.

What the need to use force when economic sanctions will do?

What makes you think the pinoys did not name the island before the Chinese did. It's a shame the pinoys did not have a written language then.
But pinoy blood are all over the islands of the pacific and the Indian ocean.
When the dutch landed in Formosa (taiwan) in the 1500's, there were no Chinese then. Only alisans. The Chinese came because the Dutch required labour and trades men.

So how can naming an island constitute as legally theirs? This is an illegal land grab. There are many islands in the philippines and Indonesia with no names until today. Many just pieces of barren rock like pulau batu Putih, now legally Singapore territory, but geographically it's in the Malay archipelago.

Best solution, go for arbitration or the world court to sort out the problems between the Philippines and china.

Honestly speaking, for the sake of the pinoys who, for obvious reasons, are perpetually acting like they are brain-damaged - they don't need another island. What the pinoys need is an economic revolution to lift 90% of their population out of poverty hell & into 21st century living standards. It is interesting to see how western-approved asiantic "democracies" like pinoyland & keling land, are complete & utter failures.

That's actually fine. No matter how much of a failure they are as long as they are western approved democracies they will be praised to the heavens.

Fully agree, "democracies" is just a facade to the real intention... total control of the "democratic" friendly nations, and siphoning all the country's natural resources.

The western world, ang mos, have been milking the world dry of natural resources... some of article contributors couldn't differentiate what is truly going on... the western world have thought of themselves as masters of the world, and have regarded the rest of the world, like Asians, 2nd class citizens, worst, 3rd class citizens of the world... Philippine is just a play thing for USA, and Philippine think that they have solid backing...

In the world of politics... who cares if it's democracy, communist, dictatorship, socialist, left or right... as long as the people don't go hungry, as long as the people have something to do to earn a income, there will not be any revolts...

Come to think about it, actually it would be a good idea for China to nuke one of the heavily populated island of the PH as Hilary Clinton always complained that PH is overly populated (already 95 Million) and needed more vigorous population planning measures as resources/space is running out for them but PH refused due to catholic faith.
Maybe, China should help US this time round to start-up their much awaited Defense Strategic Partnerships. - C2

China is a very peaceful country, peaceful unless provoked. Nukes will be out of the question. This will stir anger, not only to the Pinoy's but neighboring countries, and China really cannot afford to have a multiple war front war... so the stance they are taking is : ensure that all the neighboring border neighbor countries have no major dispute that can trigger a war, only focus on one war front at a time. I believe in this case, China is ready for a all out war against Pinoy, and they just need a push, like sinking of one of their warships by Pinoys. The USA did this trick back in the 1800s against Spain, and used this reason to Annex Puerto Rico.

LIVE TELECAST from CCTV about Huang Yan Island :

1. Micro-Bloggers netizens of China are asking everyone to boycott Pinoy products for entry into China.

The Chinese people are getting united via Micro-Blogging, and it's very effective, because it attends to at least 500 Million internet users of CHINA.

This political stance is in many media, Internet, Television, etc... unfortunately Philippine is so poor that they don't have advanced media to have this media war front. (OR PROPAGANDA)
