SINGAPORE - The ship management firm of a tanker hijacked off Kenya coast confirmed on Sunday that there are 25 crew members on board the vessel.

The crew members include 4 South Koreans, 13 Indonesians, 5 Chinese and 3 Myanmar nationals, the Singapore-registered company Glory Ship Management said in a statement.

The palm oil tanker GT Gemini "is believed to have been hijacked off Kenyan waters and heading towards Somalia," the company said in the statement on Sunday afternoon.

Singapore's Maritime and Port Authority first released a statement on the suspected hijacking of the vessel on Saturday evening.

Glory Ship Management said the vessel was hijacked around Saturday noon off Kenya coast. It was carrying 28,000 metric tonnes of crude palm oil from Indonesia to Mombasa, Kenya, when the incident took place.

Is that why we need foreign talents? They could have been all Singaporeans :-D

Yet, they are complaining there are are no jobs for them. SDP manifesto says shut down factories and create more office jobs for them. Sporeans only work in air-con buildings!
