Its a nice place to set up a business if it was managed properly. Plenty of chesp labour ftom regugees abd illegal from infonesua. You can get lng from kimanis. That is the landing point for offshore lng. But petronas not interested in supplying to the state. They orefer tokyo, Seoul and china markets where their marketing people can party and screw around with buyers.

Better to set up in samalaju in sarawak. Electricity is cheap as it comes from hydro..plus new sarawak state gahmen arm twist petronas into supplying lng to the state. And a deep water port. Ready made indusutrial site.

But to live, kk is so much better.

Forgot to ask... how do these places compare in terms of personal safety and corruption? For example, I heard that eastern side of Borneo has a separatist problem due to Philippino activity?
