I am disgusted by this pinoy blogger’s inflated sense of self-worth by claiming that “Hong Kong is ours” just because there are 20,000 pinoy maids in Hongkong!
He is gleeful that HK families who have pinoy maids have “imbibed aspects of our fine (pinoy) traditions, culture and language” and “It would not be surprising if many Hong Kong kids have become bilingual, learning Filipino (Tagalog) in varying levels.
If we, Singaporeans are not cautious, the pinoy PMETs in Singapore may try to take ownership of Singapore too just because they come here for a few years, to build their careers and enjoy the benefits that Singapore can offer.
