The Singapore Democratic Alliance (SDA) will be using the Internet, Bluetooth and quick scan barcodes to spread its campaign videos for the Punggol East by-election on Monday.
The party's chief and candidate Desmond Lim said that at least two videos will be ready by 6pm today. Punggol East voters can view them by scanning barcodes on his campaign flyers.
His green-shirted volunteers will also use Bluetooth and wireless technology to invite residents to view the videos on their mobile devices during door-to-door visits. Residents can choose to accept or reject the video invitation.
Mr Lim says that the videos will cover national issues such as costs of living, healthcare costs and population issues. Each clip is seven to ten minutes long.
