I fully support PAP law to ban firecrackers. It's simply stupid, inconsiderate and dangerous.

Stupid don't think so, dangerous & inconsiderate, yes!. Firecrackers were banned, if I could remember, when some were accidentally thrown into a flat below, killing some or all the occupants, who themselves, were preparing to let off some of their own.

It is dangerous in a highly, congested country like SINgapore, to let off firecrackers & fireworks; fire starts very easily, that is dangerous & SINgaporeanS most of them have no social grace, will indiscrimately let off firecrackers etc, that is inconsiderate.

Any moron can see that Singapore having 90% population and highly congested cannot allow firecrackers. Some here still insist on having the good old days because they are inconsiderate and selfish and brushed off any one who decry the dangers and the harm to others. "So what if a few get injured?" they say. These are the typical selfish attitude that make Singaporeans gained notoriety as arrogant, inconsiderate and boorish people by other nationalities. These very same people will rush to the defence of their fellow Singaporeans who had been accused of being called "The Ugly Singaporeans," and they still do not know why.

A very good example which I personally witnessed many times driving in Malaysia. Singaporean cars in ahead of me, with occupants throwing peeled oranges out of the window and even the contents of their ash-trays. Actions which they will not do in Singapore but they feel it is ok to throw rubbish in another foreign country.

This also stems from their beginnings and roots from their motherland, with the kind of people that shit in their own backyard. Here is a report of that country:

China Beijing air goes from 'hazardous' to off the charts, literally
top%20smog.jpg

A dense blanket of smog covered most cities in northeast China this past week, reaching record pollution levels and grounding hundreds of flights at Beijing’s international airport. Public outrage over the quality of the air in the Chinese capital is rising high while the government insists that the problem is down to inclement weather and nothing to be overly worried about.

For most of this week the air in Beijing has been rated as “very unhealthy” and “hazardous” by the US Embassy air monitor, reputed as the most reliable indicator of pollution in the city. On Sunday it posted a new record: “beyond index”, as it registered 522 micrograms of particulate pollutants per cubic meter of air.

More and more Chinese citizens - and not just expats - are turning to the US Embassy's BeijingAir Twitter account for precise data on pollution, especially since Chinese authorities continued to describe the situation as “moderate” despite the thick cloud of smog – “fog,” according to them - that envelops the city. In fact, Beijing’s health authorities insist that the air is perfectly safe 80% of the time, even though the US monitor has rated the air as good only 13 days this year.

Here you are simply wrong!

Not go to China. Just go to a dedicated and properly safe zone that's all.

50m safety buffer is enough to keep firecracker safely away from any body, and 600m is enough to buffer noise.

Many such places can be found. a stadium for example is sufficient.

Have the cracker sellers licensed and confined to a stadium, and keep fireworks sold and consumed strictly within. And restrict their operating hours. Just so simple and million dollar PAP morons can no do.:oIo:
