This is common in china. While i was there i saw the conductor, driver ate the meal in the bus. This is good lesson for sporn to learn. Time is precious, business competition is high. So, to save time eat your breakfast, lunch n dinner in the bus or train. SMRT must legalize this habit and in future they can rent out 1 or t cabin for birthday party and even wedding dinner or business meeting lunch.

SMRT will tell you next that it needs to increase fare to cover higher pest control cost due to passengers eating in the trains but does not take any enforcement actions against all these culprits.

Not only pest control, there is also smell to deal with. Not all food taste nice
