Police Are Still Searching For The Culprit Who Shot A Dog With Arrows In Langkawi

• Police are still on the hunt for the person who recently shot a dog with two arrows in Langkawi
  • According to Bernama, a woman alerted police of the incident, which took place at Dayang Walk Shoplot, Kuah on Sunday, 11 August.
    
    Facebook user Chen Liau Weng also posted photos of the scene, which went viral on social media.

• Authorities urged the public to come forward if they have any information related to the incident
  • "This barbaric act to control the population of stray dogs is not a healthy trend,"Malaysian Animal Association president Arie Dwi Andika said, according to New Straits Times.
    
    "We urge them to report the animals to the authorities so that they can be placed under the care of animal welfare organisations. Don't make this (act of killing) part of our culture," he said.

    He also assured that the identities of those who are afraid to report the incident will be kept a secret, New Straits Times reported.
    
    Anyone with information may contact the Malaysian Animal Association by sending a WhatsApp message to 011-20901097.
    The case is being investigated under Section 44 of the Animals Act 1953 for cruelty to animals.
