The current view is that it is a best time since the PAP came to power. More people like Alex Tok are keen to participate and contribute. Lots of discussion on forming parties that are small, localised and led by achievers. Parties like NSP has shadowy founders, WP requires quite intense probation and does not hold open exercise but prefers word of mouth due to fears of the past.

The biggest challenge is lack of a proper And neutral press to provide a profile for opposition candidates. The Internet can only do so much.

Yes, and WP has no means to attempt to take a big chunk of the opportunities. There is space for others and they have to be smart about it. Put together the right team of characters, send the message early by forming a CEC that shows potential and direction and start working with voters.

The key will be the candidate selection in 2016 which I think will be of such low quality that no amount of marketing will be enough. A few for Kate Spade Tins and Ah longs will do the trick. Social media and bloggers will TR Emeritus will take care of the rest.
